Marla and I worked together while I was still in high school. She told me, “Pete you should try to learn many languages, because your rhythm score indicates foreign languages would come easily for you, even ones like Japanese where inflection and cadence matter.” I took that to heart! I’m now fluent in Spanish, nearly fluent in French and have working knowledge of Italian. I decided to try Russian this semester and my professor said next semester I can skip ahead to the next class level.
